A VOYAGE CHARTER PARTY

• A VOYAGE Charter party is a contract for chartering a ship. It is a form reflecting the agreement reached between the contracting parties (the owner and the charterer).  It contains both the main terms and the details (terms, conditions, provisions) of the agreement. Other documents such as booking notes, mate’s receipts, delivery orders, manifests, invoices etc., usually play a supporting role to the charter party and the bill of lading contracts.
